Now don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with selling these types of programs to others online if there’s actually value in the information. If you’re wondering who I am, well I’ll tell you. I was just like you years ago. I desired to make money online and started out like most people do. I typed in “make money online” in Google and I immediately found myself overwhelmed with the information.
I tried just about every method there is to make money online.. anything from paid surveys to classified ads. It took me years to figure out how to truly make money online and I’ve failed more times than I can remember.
Back to the story, after trying every method known to man, to my surprise nothing worked. It was a total wasted of my time mainly because none of the information I read actually showed me how to make money online. I wasted thousands of dollars on useless programs, methods, and systems, and all other types of biz ops that I can only imagine you’ve probably found yourself. Eventually I figured it out, if you truly want to make money online you need to be selling something truly valuable and be on the other end of the screen to accept payments.
It doesn’t matter whether or not you’re selling your own product or not. You really just need to know to sell. I wasn’t selling anything specific; I was just buying into programs left and right without any sort of direction. What I was doing is creates the perfect storm for failure and I can admit I failed a lot.
The main ingredient to make money online is to know how to sell but that’s not all. You need to be selling something of value. Sure you can make a lot of money at first but if you truly want to make money online for the long-term, you need to provide value. Otherwise, your business will simply fail.
When I finally started to make money, I did so by building websites and ranking them on Google. Nowadays we refer to it as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Back when I started, there was not nearly the competition as there is today and it was much cheaper and easier to get started. Sure some people had to compete with bigger brands but for the most part, affiliate niches were easy to rank and plentiful.
After creating some websites and ranking them without much effort, I realize I was starting to see results for my hard work. My websites were gaining hundreds of visitors a day and I was starting to see sales through my affiliate offers. It was a very simple business model but its’ a great way to start making money.
Nowadays the model still exists although there is more competition and it does require a bit more knowledge to get started. However, it is a great strategy to gain some quick capital although you shouldn’t rely on Google for your entire income anymore.
Can you really make money online these days?
There are millions upon millions of dollars to be made nowadays. People aren’t creating websites, online stores, services, videos, or courses for no reason. They are monetizing their products and services.
With the right mindset, work ethic, and starting capital, you can easily make big things happen in a short time. If you don’t find yourself with a large amount of capital, it will not be as easy, although it doesn’t mean you won’t be successful.
What are the starting costs to start an online business?
It’s no secret it will cost you some money to start making money online. If you are on a tight budget, you should still save up enough money for a domain, hosting, automation tools, and some extra capital for the unseen.

If you are buying into a product that helps you multiple your income based upon what you’re already doing, then that’s probably a good investment. However, I wouldn’t recommend buying a product without knowing whether or not it is a legitimate product or whether or not its’ something you really want to do.
When will I make my first dollar online?
Unfortunately, there’s no real way to tell you when you will make your first dollar online. This depends entirely on your marketing skills, knowledge, budget, niche, and business connections.
If you are good at driving traffic, then you’ll find it incredibly easy to drive traffic to affiliate offers, which is a good way to start. If you’re like me and enjoy writing quality content, then you can start making money online but charging for your writing services.
If tech skills are more your niche, perhaps you have a good idea for a software product. Or perhaps you have an idea for the next Twitter or Facebook. Whatever your idea is, you need to be passionate about it and truly commit to whatever you want to do so you can truly be successful online.
